Terms and Conditions

1.1 These terms and conditions shall represent a legally binding contract between the Client and Home Childcare & Babysitting.

1.2 As the process of providing these services starts as soon as the Client contacts the Company, the Client agrees to waive their right to cancel the service within 7 days (“the cooling off period”), as defined under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations Act 2000.

1.3 The purpose of the job role is to be a Home Child Carer. This includes;

  • Care of child
  • Clearing up mess made by the minded child (including vacuum and mop if needed)

1.4 Notice:

Cancellation Policy

Should you cancel childcare due to sickness etc. the following charges will be applied to your invoice.

Between 24 hours & 2 hours before£20
Within 2 hours before½ day
  • In the event of a staff member illness, it will be arranged that your secondary carer will cover your childcare.
  • The client is to inform us of any annual leave they have booked 30 days in advance.

2. Fees:

a. All fees are to be paid no later than 7 days after an invoice is sent.

b. After 7 days, for every day an invoice payment is late, a fee of £2.50 will be added to the total.

c. Should a payment be 7 days late, the company reserves the right to cease services to the Client.

d. Taster sessions can be arranged for a total of 2 hours and cost £15 per session.

e. A Payment Plan is available for all Clients who wish to take advantage of spreading their childcare costs over 12 months. NB: Payment plans are subject to rates increase at any time. Invoices will be altered the following month for any additions or reductions to care provided.

f. Should the Client no longer need our services, all outstanding balances must be cleared within 5 working days; failure to do so will result in legal proceedings being started.

g. The company reserves the right to charge the Client a 25% surcharge on all accounts not settled within this period and in addition to re-claim any costs (including debt collector’s fees) incurred as a result of chasing for payment.

h. The company reserves the right to add charges to an account if

  • There are outings in which the child participates.
  • If there is anything bought for the child whilst out, for example; water/juice/food
  • The Client wishes to have any photos of the child taken by the home child carer, on an approved camera to be printed. Printing will incur a charge.
  • If the Client fails to comply with this contract legal proceedings will be started within 7 days to recover monies owed and service will be ceased effective immediately.

3. Confidential Information:

All communication, whether written or oral and however communicated, shall be confidential between the Client and the Company.

4. General:

4.1 This contract shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of England and Wales and the Client agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

4.2 The Company is legally responsible for their employee’s Tax and National Insurance payments and for providing a detailed payslip, as well as any pension contributions that are required to be made by UK law.

4.3 By agreeing to this contract the Client is accepting that they should not be contacting our child carer’s after 7:30pm. The exceptions are if your child is in our care at this time, if it is a last-minute change to the next days’ schedule, or if it is an emergency.

4.4 Photos can/cannot be used as indicated in the client contact form. As stated above in section 2.i; photos printed, as agreed with the client will incur a charge.

4.5 All medication must be clearly labelled with child’s name and expiry date including the guidance leaflet. If medication is prescribed the prescription label must be clearly visible and out of reach of children. Prescription medication must have been given 24h prior to the child being looked after to screen for a reaction.

4.6 If your child should become ill please consult the attached Illness Exclusion Period, it is at the discretion of your child’s carer if they are willing to look after your child during the recommended exclusion period.

5. Zero Tolerance Policy:

5.1 We are committed to ensuring the safety of our staff and for them to work in an environment free from the threat of violence, abuse and harassment.

Any parent who displays any form of the above abuse will have their contract with the company terminated immediately without notice.

5.2 Complaints Procedure:

It is hoped that any concerns families may have can be dealt with promptly by Home Childcare. The company aims to provide families with feedback within 28 days regarding the action taken. If any concerns about resolution they can arrange a meeting with Georgia.

All complaints will be recorded confidentially; families are welcome to view these with the recorded resolution
